Chesapeake Bay Tartan Sailing Club (CBTSC) is the first Public Demonstration pinned to our 2025 Summer Sailstice World Map! Pubic Demo's are open to public viewing with participation limited to members. This can be a great opportunity to showcase your organization to the general public (beer can races, flare demo's, etc.) or, like CBTSC, encourage others to join your group.
On Sat., June 21, 2025, CBTSC has planned a full day of Summer Sailstice activities. You can enjoy a raft-up with Vessel Safety Checks, safety demonstrations on board, a potluck, cocktail mixology demo's, and lots of sea tales. Check out their plan.
CBTSC is the largest group of Tartan boat owners on the Chesapeake Bay, with most within a day's sail of Annapolis, MD. Members range from seasoned sailors to newbies, families with children, grandparents and everyone in between. Dues are $35/year, but thanks to the sponsorship of Crusader Yachts, new members pay only $17.50 and receive a free club burgee. Benefits include a discount on US Boat registration, access to members-only website content and blogs, and invitations to club events including land-based socials, weekend cruise-outs, and the Spring Symposium. And of course, you get to hang out with other Tartan owners.
