WI - Freshwater celebration in Wisconsin

Karl Klingforth and his wife went out to celebrate Summer Sailstice on Lake Petenwell in Wisconsin. Lake Petenwell is the second largest body of water in Wisconsin and is home to past Summer Sailstice celebrations. Sailing out of the Adams county side of the lake, they sailed aboard their Pearson 28, ‘Friendship’ and sent in this shot of a Precision 28 and O’Day 26 awaiting their turn to sail. Hopefully they managed their chance to harness the breeze

.
Given all the stories and photos we see of ‘salt-free’ sailing t’s hard to imagine an inland lake that didn’t attract a couple of sailboats to hoist sails and celebrate Summer Sailstice.

Glad Karl, his wife and ‘Friendship’ could join the rest of the world for a sail.

Cruising with friends for Summer Sailstice - an idyllic way to celebrate sailing.

If you need to slip into safety while on Lake Petenwell here's your 'Harbor of Refuge' - nice even if you just need to hang out and relax.
