Hey hey hey... it's getting to be that time. The time when all good sailors pause sailing for just long enough to ensure they have their Summer Sailstice contest entries ready and submitted.
All contests close this coming weekend.

Maybe you're entering the Photo Contest, or maybe you think you have the best sunrise or sunset photo and hope to win the North Sails Duffel.
There's the Restore an Old Sailboat Contest. If you've been working on a sailboat restoration send us some photos and details to enter the contest. It's easy. See what Jason Sigmundstad from Fort Peck Sailing Club has been up to with his 1964 Wesco Marine Victory 21.
And take a look at the entry from Sooke Sailing Association in BC, Canada. They've been working on a Richardson Aqua Craft: a 12 ft Cedar Strip Sailing Dinghy built in around 1962.
The Summer Sailstice 2019 Raft Up Contest is on again. So far we have some pretty good looking raft ups to choose from, but yours could be the winner. Remember, size doesn't always matter!
"This year we combined one of our annual long distance races with Solstice. We sailed 12 NM from Ithaca Yacht Club to Sheldrake Point on Cayuga Lake, one of the Finger Lakes in upstate New York. Once we got there, we all rafted up and enjoyed lunch together before sailing back home. It was a spectacular day." - Susan Swensen Witherup
The Facebook group, the Washed Up Yacht Club, had an amazing 42 boat circular raft up in Clipper Cove, Treasure Island, San Francisco, as our Summer Sailstice. In addition to the 42 boats, some of our intrepid club members built a floating dance floor, and in the middle of the raft up, a floating (habitable) island, where a few landlubbers spent the night.
