Fort Lauderdale, FL was the setting for an inter-club raft up and tug-o-war between the Gulfstream Sailing Club, and the South Florida Sailors and Boaters.
The day began with eight boats rafting together in Lake Sylvia, a popular anchoring spot in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. The celebrating sailors sported a variety of boats including a Catalina 27 'Catmandu', a Beneteau Oceanis 400 'Northern Star l', a Catalina 30 'Blue Bayou', an Island Packet 42 named Puff, and the Wayfarer Islander 32 'Mi Sirena'.

To keep themselves busy, and no doubt highly entertained, the merry rafters launched a 10-person life raft for 'educational purposes'. But it wasn't all work and no play, as the two clubs then conducted a nautical, in-the-water tug-o-war between the Gulfstream Club and the Sailors and Boaters. Each party won a round, leaving the third match to be abandoned.
Looks like a fun day and an excellent way to celebrate Summer Sailstice.
