Alameda Mayor Trish Herrara Spencer has declared June 2018 Alameda's 'Water Sports Month' and is inviting everyone to EYC to celebrate sailing and the boating lifestyle on Saturday, June 23rd. Fred Rutledge, Ray Durazo and John Platt all helped put this together to bring attention to all the water sports activities available to the residents of the most populated island in the Bay Area, Alameda.
John Arndt, John Platt, Mayor Trish Herrara Spencer, Kame Richards of Alameda Community Sailing Center and Fred Rutledge of Encinal Yacht Club were on hand at Alameda City Hall for the presentation.
Bay Area sailors, don't be left high and dry at the docks it's official, even the Mayor thinks sailing is great. Everyone will be on the water this June so make sure you're out there with them.
