Adam Lansdown and family took a 10 metre Westerly over the to the Isle of Arran, Scotland. Says Adam, “We joke in our family that we had a highly adventurous " overseas trip " when we cross from the mainland to the inner islands on the Clyde; nearly as good our more prosperous friends who travel to exotic locations in the Med. and beyond.” Upon arrival, they spent the evening at the Glenisle Hotel, in the town of Lamlash, where they shared a delicious supper with other yachties. “We may not sound as glamorous as San Francisco or the Caribbean, but even on the west of Scotland, a potentially chilly Latitude 55, we can often bask in hot sunshine which sends us home after a weekend with sunburnt noses!! Adam was even visited by the local porpoises and returned Sunday having sailed in total, around 60 miles.
