Have you signed up for Summer Sailstice 2016?

Bainbridge International are donating 1 x Diax Large Barrel Bag, and 2 x Diax Holdall Bags. Made from Diax Laminate Sailcloth, these bags will be perfect for any sailing occasion, in fact they’ll be perfect for any occasion at all!

Bainbridge International have nearly 100 years of experience in sailcloth, and marine and industrial fabrics. They also supply other accessories such as thread, webbing, luff tape, stainless steel rings, sail slides and battens. So what ever jobs you’re planning to do on your sails, awnings or covers, Bainbridge is sure to distribute the products you need. They don’t sell direct to the public, but you can’t get all of Bainbridge’s materials and accessories from suppliers such as Sailmakers, Canvas Shops, West Marine, Defender, Svendsens, Fisheries Supply etc.

Though before you start working on your canvas, maybe you’d like to read Blue Water Sailing Magazine to get some “how to” tips and other useful sailing know-how.

Blue Water Sailing Magazine are offering 30 digital subscriptions to their great magazine. As well as great sailing stories, this publication offers real-world solutions for sailors wanting to fit out their cruising boats in preparation for the rigors of the ocean. Every issue contains authoritative articles written by known experts, covering everything from sail related gear to the navigator’s table, to the art of cruising. After 19 years of publication, you can expect this crew have got their “sailing pages” set right to give you a great mix of fact and fun.

You could of course forget the boat-jobs and just sit down with a coffee (or rum) and a bunch of sailing magazines. After reading the latest Blue Water Sailing Magazine, you could move on to some international racing news with Seahorse Magazine.

Seahorse Magazine are donating 5 one-year subscriptions to their magazine, which will bring you up to date on racing from all angles; from Olympic glory to the latest in yacht design and technology. Want to read more?  Sign Up and be in the draw to win one of these subscriptions!

Eventually however, you will need to push off from the dock, but before you do, check that you have enough fenders. If you don’t, you could perhaps win the extra long 5’ x 8” fender from Easystow Fenders

When deflated, these double-walled fenders pack away into 1/10th of their inflated size and will quickly re-inflate using any pump for inflatable boats, rafts or toys. Just this one fender will easily do the job of 2 or 3 standard fenders. If you can’t wait until June to see if you win one, log onto Easystow’s website and get yourself one now!

But if you don't win the Easystow fender, maybe you’ll win a new Halyard from New England Ropes, who are also donating a 2-meter Hook & Moor adjustable boat hook.

The Hook & Moor makes it pretty easy to grab the mooring line or put your dock line on the cleat, without precariously leaning overboard. I know I’ve looked at the water once or twice wondering if I’ll end up in it before I finish securing the lines. Take a look at the website and see how easy it is…

I think all of these sound like great prizes, so if you haven’t yet, remember to Sign Up for Summer Sailstice 2016 - Someone’s going to win, and it may as well be you!
