Four sailboats from the Somers Point Yacht Club celebrated the Summersailstice by sailing together to Atlantic City. We met in Great Egg Harbor Bay Saturday morning at 9 AM and sailed north along the Jersey shore with beautiful views of Longport, Margate, Ventnor, and Atlantic City. It was mostly sunny with light winds which made for relaxed sailing. We sailed into Absecan inlet and then into Gardners Basin near noon and docked at the Flying Cloud Restaurant where we had a wonderful lunch. We sailed back in the afternoon with moderate winds and more clouds but still delightful weather.
The sailboats that participated were Sea Renity, Blue Heaven Bad Barbara and Pterodacty
