Looking for a way to plan an event for Summer Sailstice, but wondering how with current social distancing guidelines?
We have a solution!
Organize a local Sailing Photo Treasure Hunt.
Instructions
1.) Pick how many photos you would like to include in your treasure hunt.
2.) Pick the photos: Choose local landmarks, things you might commonly come across while sailing, and poses to do in the photos. Mash them us anyway you like.
3.) Pick a Hashtag for your treasure hunt: ie: #yrasfbaytreasurehunt and a # for each photo: #sfbayangelisland to share the photos on Instagram. And include #summersailstice
4.) Invite your fleets, clubs, associations, and friends. Make a prize for first if you like, the person with the most photos on the list wins!
Lastly, get out and have fun! Go sailing, share your photos and create some memories with your organization. Post the photos to your groups website or Facebook page! And make sure you share them with us on the Summer Sailstice Facebook page, and email them to us and don't forget to tag us on social media @summersailstice and #summersailstice #raiseyoursails.
If you need some inspiration check out the YRA of SF Bay treasure hunt! A few DIY treasure hunts have popped up on the map, like this one in South Bay SF and this one on the North Coast of Lake Ontario NY.
