Summer Sailstice 2018 event organizers did a fantastic job of promoting their clubs' celebrations and introducing hundreds of new participants to the world of sailing. RSVP columns were full of experienced sailors, family, friends and people from all walks of life who took up the opportunity to celebrate the start of 2018's summer sailing season, and for the newcomers the opportunity to learn about the great sport of sailing while meeting new friends.
In addition to encouraging people to join the Sailstice fun, organizers were vying for first place in the "Best RSVP List" contest. The event with the most RSVPs wins a case of Sailkote (12 x spray cans) from Team McLube.
But we decided, "Why stop there?" and added a few more prizes for the hard working winners.
First place winner receives a case of McLube Sailkote, a Davis Snap Tool & Pocket Reference Guide, a 1-year Cruising Outpost Magazine subscription, a Navionics+ 2GB Chart and Navionics App.
Second place receives a Davis Snap Tool & Pocket Reference Guide, a 1-year Cruising Outpost Magazine subscription, a Navionics+ 2GB Chart and Navionics App.
Third place receives a Davis Snap Tool & Pocket Reference Guide, a 1-year Cruising Outpost Magazine subscription, and a Navionics+ 2GB Chart.
At midnight on June 22nd, (PT) we looked at the lists and determined the winning events.
