For one day, the center of sailing in America was in landlocked Nebraska. On June 21st, tiny Branched Oak Yacht Club in Lincoln Nebraska had more members registered for the 2003 Summer Sailstice than any other location in North America. Thirty-six boats participated in an afternoon sail on our lake. Following the sail, we had a Jimmy Buffet themed party featuring cheeseburgers and parrot headed participants. Prizes were awarded for the best head adornments. All members and guests had a good time. We look forward to defending our claim as America's #1 sailing location during the 2004 Summer Sailstice.
